Billing and balance

Wolkra uses a prepaid balance: you add credit by card or crypto, and each resource is charged per started hour from that balance, capped at its monthly price. There are no contracts and no setup fees, and traffic is unmetered.

How charges work

• Per started hour. Each resource is billed for every hour it exists, and a started hour counts in full.
• Monthly cap. In a month a resource never costs more than its monthly price.
• Per resource. Servers, primary IPv4 addresses, volumes, snapshots, backups, load balancers and other paid items each have their own price.
• No traffic fees. Traffic is unmetered on every plan.
• EUR without VAT. All prices are shown in euros without VAT.

Top up

Open Billing in the console.

Card

Pay with Visa, Mastercard and other cards through Stripe. Card details are entered and processed by Stripe.

Crypto

Pay with USDT (TRC-20) or TRX on the TRON network:

1. Choose crypto and the currency.
2. Send the amount shown to the address shown, on the TRON network.
3. The balance is credited once the payment is confirmed on the network.

Automatic top-up

With a card you can turn on automatic top-up, which charges the card when the balance runs low. This is the easiest way to keep production servers running without watching the balance.

Watch your spending

The billing page shows the current balance and the charges per resource. Useful habits:

• Delete servers you don't need. Billing follows the resource, so a resource you keep is a resource you pay for.
• Remove old snapshots and detached volumes.
• Use labels to see which project or person a resource belongs to.

When the balance runs low

Wolkra warns before anything stops:

1. Low-balance emails are sent while there is still credit left.
2. When the balance reaches zero, a grace period begins. Your servers keep running.
3. If you do not top up during the grace period, servers are stopped. Data stays in place.
4. Resources are deleted only after a final notice.

Topping up at any stage before deletion brings things back: start stopped servers again from the console. To avoid all of this for important services, enable automatic top-up.

Who can manage billing

Organizations have roles for this: the owner controls the organization, and the billing role is meant for people who handle payments and charges without managing servers. Give billing access only to those who need it. See account security.

You run one Standard s0 server (from €3.49 a month) with a primary IPv4 (€0.89 a month) and daily backups (20% of the server price) all month, plus a test server for 10 hours:
