Payment methods
Updated
You pay for Wolkra from a prepaid balance that you top up by card or with crypto (USDT on TRC-20 and TRX on the TRON network), and resources are billed from it by the hour. There are no contracts, no setup fees and no surprise bills.
How prepaid billing works
- You add money to your balance.
- Each resource is charged per started hour while it exists.
- The charge for a resource in a month never goes above its monthly price.
- Delete a resource and its charges stop.
A server you run for three days costs three days. A server you run all month costs its monthly price, not a cent more. That makes Wolkra a good fit for short tests, temporary environments and growing projects alike. The guide on hourly vs monthly VPS billing and the hourly billing VPS page explain the model in more detail.
Card payments
Pay with Visa, Mastercard and other cards through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure form and handled by Stripe, a processor named in our privacy policy.
Automatic top-up
Turn on automatic top-up by card and your balance is refilled when it gets low. It is the easiest way to make sure production servers never stop because of a forgotten payment.
Crypto payments: USDT and TRX on TRON
You can also top up with crypto on the TRON network:
- USDT (TRC-20), the dollar-pegged stablecoin, so the amount you send keeps its value
- TRX, TRON's own coin
Start a crypto top-up in the console and follow the payment instructions shown there. Once the transfer is confirmed on the network, the amount is added to your balance. Always send on the TRON network (TRC-20 for USDT), as the console shows. More on this on the crypto VPS page.

Prices and VAT
All prices are in EUR without VAT. Plans start at €3.49 per month for the s0 plan (1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 15 GB disk). A primary IPv4 is €0.89 per month and backups cost 20% of the server price. The full list is on the pricing page.
When the balance runs low
We warn you early:
- Low-balance emails are sent before anything stops.
- Grace period: if the balance reaches zero, you have time to top up.
- Servers are stopped after the grace period, not deleted.
- Deletion happens only after a final notice, so you always have a last chance to act.
Teams can give a colleague the billing role to manage the balance and top-ups without access to servers. See teams and security.
Keeping costs predictable
Prepaid billing makes spending easy to follow:
- The balance shows what is left at any time.
- Each resource has a clear monthly maximum, because hourly charges stop at the monthly price.
- Traffic is unmetered, so there is no bandwidth line on the bill.
- Composer shows the monthly cost of a whole stack before you create it.
If you want to try something, start it, test it and delete it. You pay for the hours it ran, nothing more.
Top-ups for teams
In an organization, the balance belongs to the organization, not to one person. Owners and billing users can top up, and everyone works from the same balance across all projects.
Who pays with what
- Freelancers and small teams often use a card with automatic top-up.
- Users without a card that works abroad can top up with USDT or TRX.
- Companies give the billing role to finance and keep engineers focused on servers.
