n8n hosting for your automations
Updated
n8n hosting on Wolkra means running the open-source n8n automation tool on your own cloud server in Frankfurt, set up in one click, with no execution limits from us and your workflow data kept in Germany.
You pay one hourly server price, capped at the monthly amount, however many workflows you run.
Who self-hosts n8n
- Small businesses automating invoices, CRM updates, lead routing and reporting.
- Agencies building automations for clients and wanting each client on its own server.
- Developers who glue APIs together and want code nodes, webhooks and cron in one place.
- Teams handling personal data who need workflows and logs to stay in the EU.
The quick start: the n8n app
The n8n app creates a server with n8n installed and running a few minutes after boot. Open it in your browser, create the owner account, and start building. Do this right away so nobody else can claim the instance.
Standard
Shared vCPU for websites, apps, VPNs and development.
| Plan | vCPU | RAM | Disk | Traffic | Hourly | Monthly cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S0 | 1 | 1 GB | 15 GB | Unmetered | €0.0056 | €3.49 |
| S1 | 1 | 2 GB | 30 GB | Unmetered | €0.0080 | €4.99 |
| S2 | 2 | 4 GB | 40 GB | Unmetered | €0.0144 | €8.99 |
| S3 | 2 | 8 GB | 50 GB | Unmetered | €0.0200 | €12.49 |
| S4 | 4 | 8 GB | 80 GB | Unmetered | €0.0288 | €17.99 |
| S5 | 4 | 16 GB | 100 GB | Unmetered | €0.0400 | €24.99 |
- A handful of workflows: the smallest Standard plan.
- Many workflows, large files or parallel runs: 2 to 4 GB of memory.
- Heavy data processing: a CPU-optimised (c) or memory-optimised (m) plan.
Billing is hourly from a prepaid balance. Resize when executions start to wait.
A production-ready n8n setup
Domain and HTTPS
Webhooks and most OAuth connections need a stable HTTPS address. Point a domain at the server, run n8n behind a reverse proxy with automatic certificates, and set n8n's public URL to that domain. See reverse proxy with Caddy.
A firewall
Attach a free firewall that allows HTTPS and SSH only. Limit SSH to your own address if it is fixed. Firewalls can be applied to labels, so every n8n server you create picks up the same rules.
Private connections
Place n8n in a private network with the databases, internal APIs and services it automates. They can run without public IPs, and a NAT gateway gives them outbound internet access for updates. Admin access can go through a WireGuard VPN.
Backups
Workflows and encrypted credentials live on the server. Protect them three ways:
- Turn on daily server backups for 20% of the server price, with 7 restore points.
- Take a snapshot before upgrading n8n.
- Export workflows regularly and keep the copies elsewhere. See our backup strategy guide.
Keep a safe copy of n8n's encryption key too. Without it, a restored instance cannot read stored credentials.
Staging
Clone the server from a snapshot to test new versions or big workflow changes, then delete the copy. You pay only for the hours it ran.
Scaling n8n
As workloads grow:
- Resize up to more CPU and memory. This is the simplest step and often enough.
- Move the database to a dedicated server in the private network. See databases.
- Split webhook traffic and workers across servers using n8n's queue mode, with a load balancer in front of the webhook servers.
Why n8n on Wolkra
No traffic bill
Automations move data between APIs all day. Traffic is unmetered with fair use, on ports up to 10 Gbit/s, shared, so large files and busy webhooks carry no per-GB fees. See unmetered bandwidth.
Data in Germany
Your server, disk and backups are in Frankfurt. That keeps workflow data in the EU and simplifies your GDPR records. See EU VPS and GDPR and GDPR hosting in Germany.
Close to European services
Low latency across Europe from the centre of Europe helps when your workflows call European APIs and SaaS tools.
Simple billing
Prepaid balance, per started hour, capped monthly. Pay by card or with USDT and TRX. No contracts. See pricing.
Updating n8n
n8n releases often. Read the release notes, snapshot the server, update, and run a few key workflows by hand. If something breaks, restore the snapshot and try again later.
Combining n8n with other apps
- Run an AI agent gateway with OpenClaw and trigger agents from workflows.
- Deploy n8n and other tools side by side with Coolify.
- Build custom stacks with the Docker app and Compose.
Start automating
Sign up, add balance, and launch the n8n app. Your automation server in Germany is ready in minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Why self-host n8n instead of using a hosted plan?
Self-hosting removes execution and workflow limits from your hosting bill and keeps workflow data on your own server. In return you handle updates and backups.
How many workflows can one server run?
It depends on how often they run and how much data they move. A small server handles many light, scheduled workflows; heavy or parallel jobs need more memory and CPU.
Can n8n reach my internal databases securely?
Yes. Put n8n and the databases in the same private network. The databases need no public address, and n8n reaches them privately.
Is n8n data stored in the EU?
Yes. Workflows, credentials and execution logs stay on your server in Frankfurt, Germany. Data only leaves when a workflow sends it to an outside service.
Can I run AI workflows in n8n on Wolkra?
Yes. n8n's AI nodes call the model providers you configure. The server runs the workflow, and the provider runs the model.
